"It was a great week for every one of us. (our college student) felt great. Of course my husband felt fabulous and noticed the benefit of better energy. Teri's Story: "For several years I dealt with severe pain throughout my body. It felt like my bones were on fire. I would have trouble walking and limped a lot. It was almost like my muscle in that leg would tighten up to the point where I couldn’t stand up straight.
This continued for several years. Then I started getting dizzy spells at work. I became extremely fatigued. I had trouble even turning over in bed. It took forever to get out of bed in the mornings. I would have to sit there for several minutes before standing as I was very weak and dizzy. I also started to get sore throats and daily fevers; usually between 99 and 101 degrees.
I could no longer work. It took a few years before the doctors found that I had non-functioning adrenal glands. When my doctor got the test results back he said I should be in a coma. At this time we were under a lot of stress. We had to sell our house. We wiped out our savings and retirement money because Steve, (my husband) was starting to get sick with his diagnosis of slumped brain due to cerebral spinal fluid hypo-volemia. He lost his job and was in and out of a coma. We had no insurance and our youngest Aaron was seeing a pediatric cardiologist. So the money was tight. I add all that information so if people feel stressed by whatever their situations or challenges may be, there is hope. I want people to see they should never give up and don’t let fear get the best of them. I wasn’t getting better but my husband needed me. Only my determination and attitude (And the fact that Steve was getting worse and worse, so I had to function) helped me improve enough to help Steve. But I was still in severe pain every day and extremely tired.
Around this time, my friend and co-worker Wendy came to me hoping that USANA could help Steve. We started to educate ourselves on the benefits of optimal nutrition with USANA and what a healthy lifestyle could do for Steve and I. The supplements have changed our lives. Steve has improved so much, he's almost back to normal, it’s amazing. My energy level has skyrocketed and now I wake up ready to take on the day. I sleep so much better now and it's made such a difference in how I feel throughout my day. It’s funny how every morning I still think of how hard it used to be to get out of bed.
I have tried all kinds of vitamins and “juice and vegetable” supplements in the past, but nothing has been as successful as the USANA vitamins in helping me to feel great. I will never stop taking these vitamins. My problems started in the 90s and it wasn’t until I started the vitamins in 2011 that I remembered what it was like to have my life back!
